Hoy estaremos aprendiendo acerca de: Ganancias retenidas, en español “Fondo de emergencia de tu negocio”. Veremos la importancia de tener un fondo de emergencia en tu negocio y cómo crearlo en estos 3 pasos.
Paso #1. Crear un fondo de emergencia de 1 a 2 meses de costos fijos básicos.
Sin importar en qué etapa te encuentres en tu emprendimiento este primer paso debes comenzar a implementarlo una vez ya tengas establecido y ya estés pagándote un salario a ti mismo.
Una vez ya estés pagándote, empieza a trabajar en separar un porcentaje de ganancias netas hasta crear un fondo de 1 a 2 meses de costos fijos básicos.
Cuando hablo de costos fijos básicos, no hablo de celulares para tus colaboradores, o autos de la empresa, o almuerzos con clientes, no. Hablo de ¿Cuánto necesitas para mantener las luces encendidas y las puertas abiertas de tu negocio?
Aquí buscamos lo mínimo básico para operar que necesitas tener en una cuenta de banco incluso si tienes deudas.
Quiero que te pongas como prioridad meta tener un amortiguador, un colchón, que, si algo llegase a pasar, no tengas que cerrar las puertas de tu negocio, porque tenemos algo donde sumergirnos, tenemos ese fondo al cual acudir.
Este sería el equivalente al paso # 1 del E-book “Los 7 pasos claves para tomar el control de tu dinero para siempre” que se enfoca en finanzas personales, donde te recomiendo tener empezar con un fondo de emergencia de $1,000 porque a medida que trabajas dentro del paso #2 que es salir de deudas, y no tienes al menos esos $1,000 en un fondo de emergencia, créeme que Murphy te va a estar tocando a la puerta, así es la vida, y mejor estar preparado por cualquier cosa.
Paso #2. Haz un plan escrito para pagar las deudas del negocio y simultáneamente sigue construyendo tu fondo de emergencia.
Estoy 100% convencida que sí se puede llevar un negocio sin deudas, pero si las tienes no te preocupes, lo que quiero es que no sigas acumulando más.
Cuando llegas a este paso, vas a usar 80% de tus ganancias netas hacia pagar deudas con toda tu energía, usando el método bola de nieve, quiero que tengas este plan escrito, que sepas cuánto tiempo te llevará mas o menos salir de tus deudas.
El 20% restante de tus ganancias netas, irán a seguir construyendo ese amortiguador o colchón, tu fondo de ganancias retenidas A.K.A. fondo de emergencia.
Ganancias retenidas en otras palabras es efectivo en mano. Dinero que debes colocar en una cuenta donde tengas fácil acceso si lo necesitas de inmediato.
Sigue hasta que hayas cancelado todas las deudas.
Paso #3. Termina de crear un fondo de ganancias retenidas de 6 meses.
Luego de que sales de todas tus deudas, ahora si puedes redirigir todo hacia terminar de construir tu fondo de ganancias retenidas, recuerda de gastos básicos del negocio.
Sé que puedes verlos como una montaña muy alta de escalar, pero, así como es difícil, es también extremadamente necesario que hagas esto para tu negocio, no solo para que estés bien preparado, sino para aprovechar oportunidades.
Si tienes un negocio en donde tus gastos fijos básicos de operación ascienden a $1,000 al mes entonces tu fondo de ganancias retenidas tendrá que ser de $6,000
A medida que el negocio vaya tomando más carácter tendrás que eventualmente ir engordando el fondo y podrás incluirle lo demás que no es tan básico, cosa que, si un mes no vendes nada, no pasa nada, todo sigue igual, como salarios, celulares, almuerzos, viáticos, etc.
